Cala en Porter is a completely self contained resort situated in a picturesque inlet 6 miles (10 minutes) from Mahon Airport on the Island's beautiful South coast.
 
It has a large, safe, shelving, sandy beach, ideal for families with children. Sunbeds, umbrellas, pedaloes and showers are available with good car parking facilities. There are several supermarkets, with numerous bars and restaurants to cater for all needs whilst relaxing on the beach. The whole family will love the miniature train service which runs from the beach to all parts of town.
 
Cala en Porter is one of the liveliest resorts by local standards, this is probably due to the number and wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The bars provide a good variety of evening entertainment and the large selection of restaurants serve family meals with an excellent range of foods to suit all tastes and pockets.
 
Although Menorca is renowned for its peaceful ambience and does not boast a plethora of nightclubs, the islands most famous disco "Cova d'en Xoroi" is situated in grottoes 100 feet above the sea on the outskirts of town, this is highly recommended for those who want a touch of night life.
